Romania witnesses a 8.3% economic growth in first quarter of 2008

Romania’s gross national product amounted to 23.5 billion euro in the first quarter of the year, translating into a 8.2% increase as compared to the same period last year, Romania’s National Statistics data show.

In 2007, the gross national product was 121.27 billion euro, a 6% increase as compared to 2006.
