Romanian and Bulgarian beggars 'invade' Norway

HotNews.ro

Norwegian towns have been ‘invaded’ by Romanian and Bulgarian beggars, the local Aftenposten newspaper reads. The daily informs that the Eastern European beggars’ aggressiveness and their behavior created a general dissatisfaction about their presence in this country.

The newspaper describes that one morning, three pairs of beggars moved systematically from one bench to the other, near citizens to beg for some coins. The main Norwegian political parties launched serious debates in an attempt to resolve the situation.

Local politician Haakon Lie, aged 102, declared that Norway should not become the main market for East-European beggars and thieves. He urged politicians to throw them out.
