HotNews.ro

The resounding success of Steaua Bucharest against Dinamo Kiev in the first leg of the Champions League groups on Wednesday, two other Romanian teams, Dinamo Bucharest and Rapid Bucharest, managed two other victories on Thursday. Dinamo defeated Xanthi Skoda 3-4, while Rapid scored 1-0 against Nacional Madeira.

With Viorel Moldovan’s goal against Nacional, Rapid become the favorites to qualify further in the UEFA Cup.

Xanthi also proved a tough bone for Dinamo as it marked the first goal in ‘8 (Quintana). But Dinamo’s Niculescu and Danciulescu managed two goals in ’18 and ’25 respectively. Niculescu scored once again in ’34.

Quintana scored for a second time in ’45, followed by team-mate Kazakis in ’61, but Bucharest’s Pulhac delivers the decisive goal in ’85 to seal the game.
