Romanian Foreign Ministry confirms Romanian citizen wounded in Las Vegas attack
The Romanian Foreign Ministry confirmed on Monday evening that a Romanian citizen was wounded in the deadly armed attack that took place in Las Vegas and was treated in a hospital in the region. The person will be visited by Romania’s honorary consul there as soon as his condition allows it, it announced.
Romania’s Consulate General to Los Angeles was in permanent contact with local authorities and was ready to provide any consular assistance needed, the ministry said.
A Romanian woman in Las Vegas had written on Facebook that her 24 year old son was wounded in the attack in which at least 58 people died and over 500 were wounded. According to the woman’s Facebook account, she was working in the hotel where attacker Stephen Paddock was accommodated.
