Romanian President Traian Basescu about the death of Obama bin Laden: a remarkable success for the Americans. It is the beginning of the end 

Romanian President Traian Basescu declared that the killing of the terrorist leader, Obama bin Laden is a “remarkable success of the American government” adding that this is the “beginning of the end”, news agency Agerpres reports. Basescu made the declarations during a meeting with Ellen Tauscher, US under state secretary for arms control and international safety.

The President congratulated Tauscher for the success of the American government related to bin Laden. Basescu said that this is an extraordinary moment for what is happening in the Arab world. The American official told the Romanian President that it is clear that without allies like Romania, it would be hard for the US to conduct such a battle.

Tauscher was present in Bucharest for the seventh negotiation round related to Romania’s participation to the anti missile system.
