Romanian youngsters, most optimistic Central and Eastern Europeans

Romanian youngsters are among most optimistic people in Central and Eastern Europe when it comes to their future and economic situation, a Bank Austria study shows. Polish youngsters come first in the listing, with a index of 68 points closely followed by Romanians and Kazakhs with 66 points.

Except some disparities, youngsters in Central and Eastern Europe have a positive perspective on their future, Austria Bank board member Ralph Muller declared. He added that Romanians are convinced that their country was heading towards a better future.

Some 20% of the Romanian respondents and 19% of those in Serbia and Bosnia Herzegovina see themselves working abroad in the upcoming three years. When it comes to their personal evolution, the study reveals that youngsters expect their situation to improve significantly especially in Kazakhstan (71 points), Romania and Poland (69 points).
