Romania’s Embassy requested some 15,000 voting bulletins: one for the Chamber of Deputies and one for the Senate. Most of them have been reserved in five constituencies in London – 10,000 – while the rest will be split to Leeds, Cardiff, Aberdeen, Southhamption, Liverpool, Ediburgh, Birmingham, Oxford and Belfast, Romania’s Ambassador to Britain, Ion Jinga declared.

For the upcoming elections the Ambassadors collaborated with various Romanian associations in UK and the costs of the organization amount to some 25,000 pounds, involving 24 electoral members. 10,000 pounds will be allocated to the transportation of the electoral bulletins while the supervises of the elections will be paid with 66 Ron/day.

The Community of students in Canterbury, amounting to 300 to 400 students expressed their dis-satisfation with the fact that there will be no constituency in their campus.

Ambassador Jinga declared that some 50 to 60,000 Romanians are expected to cast a vote this Sunday. Due to the uninominal voting system, Romanian citizens residing in Britain will only be able to vote based on several documents that attest their residence, like a full driving license, documents attesting the local registration, the rentee contract registered, or the certificate attesting the free access to the labor market and others.
