Romania's Ambassador to Vatican, Marius Lazurca proposed as Ambassador in Republic of Moldova
Romania’s Foreign Affairs minister, Teodor Baconschi announced that Romania’s Ambassador to Vatican, Marius Lazurca was proposed as Ambassador to Moldova, Romanian news agency Mediafax informs.
The information follows President Basescu’s declaration that the first visit in his second mandate will be to Moldova. He underlined then that Romanian will sustain Moldova’s efforts to join the EU.
Romania does not have an official representative at Chisinau since April 2009 after Filip Teodorescu was expelled from Moldova following post-electoral prostests. Voronic accused Romania that it involved in the organization of violences. Romania proposed back then Mihnea Constantinescu as Ambassador but he did not receive the approval of Moldovan authorities.
Baconschi declared that Romania will have an Ambassador soon and he will have to have a certain intellectual background.
