Romania's canoe team wins second silver medal at Poznan
Romania received the second silver medal at the Canoe Sprint World Championship at Poznan. The second medal follows the victory of Romanians Camelia Lupascu and Nicoleta Albu who finished on Saturday on second in the double competition at 2000 meters. On Sunday, Romania’s 8+1 team won the second silver medal.
Romania was initially ranked fifth after the first 1000 meters but improved its time spectacularly and finished on second after six minutes and 06.94 seconds. Romania’s 8+1 team was composed of: Roxana Cogianu, Ionelia Neacsu, Maria Diana Bursuc, Ioana Craciun, Adelina Cojocariu, Nicoleta Albu, Camelia Lupascu, Eniko Barabas and Teodora Stoica.
