The decision of the International Court of Justice admits Romania’s right to exploit an exclusive area of 9,700 km, which represents 79.34% from the disputed area with Ukraine, Romania’s representative at CJI Bogdan Aurescu declared, a few minutes after the Court decided that the Serpent’s Island will not be considered Ukraine’s shore.
Aurescu declared that the decision is favorable to both countries.
