Social Democrat head wins 71% in his college, PM Tariceanu gains only 45.4%

According to the Insomar/Realitatea TV poll, prime minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu won 45.4% of the votes in his electoral college and will enter the re-distribution process, while the leader of the main Opposition party, Social Democrat Mircea Geoana won 71.3% in his area. Democrat-Liberal vice president Vasile Blaga is close to winning a Senate seat, estimations being around 50.1% of the votes.
