Tragedy in Geneva: Romanian shot his family and then committed suicide
A 52 year old Romanian has killed his family and then committed suicide, the Swiss online daily 24heures informs. A good-bye note left behind reads „at 52, I am a loser. I hope that at least this last gesture will be successful. I don’t want to leave my family. If I manage, I’ll take them with me”.
According to the Swiss newspaper, police officers entered in the apartment at the request of a friend after the man did not show up to work. The man had two sons, aged 16 and 19.
Currently, the police is investigating the exact circumstances of the crimes, in order to confirm that the man is the author of the killings. According to 24heures.ch, the Romanian moved to Switzerland 30 years ago and was a sociable and funny man, as colleagues described him. Friends of the family declared that the man was concerned and lost his „joie de vivre” in the last couple of months.
However, Swiss police spokesperson declared that nothing can explain the tragedy, Lematin.ch informs. The newspaper reads that the financial situation of the Romanian was good.
