Transnistrian refugees to protest in Chisinau during Romanian president's visit

„Transnistrian Refugees Movement” representatives announced that they will organise protest in Moldova’s capital, Chisinau, during the visit of Romanian president Traian Basescu scheduled for this week, January 27 and 28, Jurnal de Chisinau informs. According to the Movement’s president Anatol Bazgu, the cause of the protests is the authorities not enforcing the legal courts’ decisions and the CEDO decisions.

„We hope this will make our voice heard”, he added.

The Tranistrian refugees said they would protest in front of Chisinau’s Local Council, in front of the Government and of the Republic Palace, asking authorities to respect the rights of the veterans and war injured.

„We have been contacted by mayor Dorin Chirtoaca, who asked us to give up protests, trying to convince us that the issue of homes will be solved”,

Anatol Bazgu stated. According to him, the Movement will carry on rallying.
