UPDATE: Nine dead in Finland school attack
Ten people died in a shooting spree in a high school in Finland on Tuesday, according to the AFP. A young man open fire in the school in Kauhajoki, SW Finland, killing ten and wounding another two students, according to local police, quoted by Finnish media. The 20-year old student then tried to kill himself and was hospitalized with a head wound and later died.
The police had interrogated the attacker on Monday, after he posted a film on YouTube showing him shooting a gun.
Finnish Interior minister Anne Holmlund said the presumed attacker was let go following the interrogation as police assumed there was no reason to withdraw his gun permit.
Finland is third worldwide in terms of guns owned by the population, following the US and Yemen, according to a 2007 study.
