VIDEO 200 km per hour aboard a Ferrari in Maranello, Italy
A visit to the Ferrari factory in Maranello, Italy leaves you with the pictures of Zen gardens and apparently floating buildings aimed at inspiring engineers, hi-tech tools and robots capable of operating at -100 or +300 degrees Celsius – and the intense emotions of speeding beyond 200 km per hour close to a former home of Enzo Ferrari, in a car that is able to run as fast as 300 km/h.
The Ferrari plant in Maranello, which gives life to an otherwise clean but rather dull town, covers 50 hectares of land and is a small town by itself.
Some 2,800 people work on the site, a third of which belong to the motorsport division. Today, all Ferrari models cost more than 150,000 euro and the new California model suits the company well.
HotNews.ro reporter Vlad Barza had the opportunity to get aboard a Ferrari on the Maranello circuit: one of the most powerful cars, Ferrari – 599 GTB Fiorano with a V12 engine and 620 hp. A car that is able to reach 100 km/h in 3,7 seconds and 200 km/h in 11 seconds.
Watching the video, you can hear the pilot announcing when speeding beyond 200 km/h:
