(VIDEO) Romanian violin player Titus Flueras wins seat in YouTube symphonic orchestra
35-year old Titus Flueras, violin player and music teacher at the „Gheorghe Dima” Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca, won the international contest organized by YouTube for the creation of a symphonic orchestra. „I found out yesterday (Monday, March 2) that I won one of the 31 seats as violin players. YouTube will organize a concert on April 15, at the la Carnegie Hall in New York”, said Titus Flueras for HotNews.ro.
Titus Flueras is a lecturer university professor at the „Gheorghe Dima” Music Academy in Cluj. He applied for the job in December 2008, after finding out about the contest due to the fact that he had an active YouTube account since 2007.
Flueras says that all 80 members selected for the orchestra „look like they’re good, professional musicians”.
