IMF delegation extends its stay until May 9
IMF delegation decided to extend its visit in Romania until May 9, two days more than initially planned, news televisions inform. Thursday, the IMF delegation is scheduled to talk to PM Emil Boc and President Traian Basescu.
This is not the first time that the IMF extends its stay in Romania, Romania’s National Central Bank governor Mugur Isarescu said. The IMF delegation arrived in Romania on April 27 for the fourth evaluation of the stand by agreement between Romania and the financial international institution.
The IMF director will decide if the fifth installment will be released, worth 850 million euro.
Romania has a two year agreement with the IMF, for 12.95 billion euro from the IMF.
