​Cu aproape 40 de milioane de vizualizari pe YouTube, piesa Friday a tinerei Rebecca Black (in varsta de doar 13 ani) este numita de critici „cea mai proasta melodie din toate timpurile”. Reactiile utilizatorilor YouTube au fost atat de violente, incat 80% din cele aproape 300.000 de comentarii primite au fost sterse ori marcate ca fiind spam, conform filmindustrynetwork.biz.

Tanara a inceput sa fie deja comparata cu Justin Bieber si Taylor Swift, in urma numarului foarte mare de vizualizari adunate intr-un timp atat de scurt.

Pe YouTube, clipul Friday are peste 47.000 de like-uri, fata de cele peste 400.000 de dislike-uri. Pe langa voce si videoclip, Rebecca Black este criticata si pentru versurile pe care multi le considera „stupide”.

Intr-un interviu acordat postului ABC si citat de bbc.co.uk, tanara a declarat ca acele comentarii negative de pe internet au facut-o sa planga. Cu toate acestea, Rebecca este increzatoare cu privire la viitorul ei ca artista, mentionand ca ar fi incantata de un duet cu Justin Bieber.

„Sufar de „febra Bieber” – sunt indragostita de Justin Bieber. Daca ar fi de acord sa faca un duet cu mine? Asta ar fi incredibil si m-ar bucura enorm”, a mai spus tanara.

Nu este prima oara cand o piesa primeste titulatura de „cel mai prost cantec din lume”, intr-o situatie asemanatoare aflandu-se si melodia Agadoo a trupei Black Lace.
