False humanitarian appeal in Italy for a Romanian little boy sick of leukemia
Hundreds of leaflets were distributed these days in Milan, claiming humanitarian help for a Romanian boy sick of leukemia, Matei. The leaflets include details of a Romanian doctor who claims she has no idea about the case, Italian daily Corriere della Sera.
The leaflet reads, in Italian, about Matei, a two years old Romanian boy sick of leukemia who needs financial support for a costly treatment. The Italian daily notes that every detail on the leaflet is false. Contacted by the Adnkronos news agency, the doctor quoted on the leaflets, Violeta Ilie declared that she has no knowledge about such a patient.
