Constitutional Court: articles modifying the Labour Code are constitutional
The modifications brought to the labour code, for which the government took responsibility in the Parliament are constitutional, the Constitutional Court decided on Wednesday, quoted by Romanian news agency Agerpres. Judges thus rejected the complaint formulated by 112 Liberal and Social Democratic Deputies on the law modifying the labour code.
The decision is final and mandatory and the law will be sent for promulgation to the President. The Social Liberal Union, an union uniting the opposition parties submitted a week ago a complaint against the modifications brought to the labor code criticizing the abusive way in which the government understood to take responsibility on a draft law that will influence the life of Romanians, avoiding once again debate in the Parliament.
