Romanian citizen in Ireland receives compensations for being refused driver job because she was too short
A Romanian in Ireland has won a case against a bus company in Dublin and received compensations of 6,000 euro after she was refused a job as a driver because she was too short, according to Irish Times.
The quoted source reports Isabella Lazar passed theoretical and practical tests and was invited for interview where she was referred for medical examination. She was found to be too short for the height requirement for the job.
The court rejected other claims by Lazar, related to discrimination on grounds of race and disability.
