The European Commission’s reports to the Parliament and the Council regarding the European fund management and the anti-fraud body OLAF’s activity report for 2007 will be published on Tuesday, July 22. Romania has no reason to worry, Romania’s Anti-Fraud Department chief Ovidiu Dobleaga declared for HotNews.ro.

The reports target the way European member states managed and spent European funds in 2007 and whether they have cooperated with the European investigation service for this sector, OLAF.

European officials are mainly concerned with Romania and Bulgaria. The Economist already published a draft of the Commission’s report on Bulgaria which states clearly that payments towards two implementation agencies were suspended.

Romania has no reason to worry, Romania’s Anti-Fraud Department chief Ovidiu Dobleaga declared for HotNews.ro. He added that Romania has very good results in terms of funds management.
