HotNews.ro

Over 36 heads of state and government attend the traditional military parade organized in Paris each year to mark France’s national day. Today, French President Nicolas Sarkozy is accompanied among others by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon and other 36 heads of state and government from all over the world, including Romania’s President, Traian Basescu, Romanian news television Realitatea TV informs.

A Romanian MIG-21 Lancer plane is part of the military parade, a Defense ministry press release remitted to HotNews.ro informs. The plane will accompany the other French military Mirage F1 planes over Champs-Elysees.

This year, unlike the previous year, the air parade includes military planes from over seven European states like Belgium, Germany, Italy, Romania, Slovakia, Spain and Hungary. The initiative is another testimony that European member states cooperate in peace keeping missions.
