Transports minister Ludovic Orban found not guilty in December car crash despite hurting girl

Romanian prosecutors found Transports minister Ludovic Orban not guilty after being investigated for injuring a girl in a car accident in December, a Public Ministry press release informs. Orban was found not guilty for charges of bodily harm, false statements and leaving the place of the accident.

Thus, Orban was acquitted as the victim did not require hospital care and hospitalization. Prosecutors started investigating the case of the presumed victim, Simona Todean. The victim’s father, Gavril Todean denied that his daughter has been involved in a car accident, and claimed that she fell on ice.

Moreover, doctors concluded that the injuries could have been cause by a fall on the ice.

Thus, no clear evidence could be found against Ludovic Orban.
