American authorities express their gratitude to Romania for offering assistance after the Gulf of Mexico oil leak
Romania is among the countries who offered to help American authorities in an attempt to limit the effects of the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico, US State Department announced. „The United States is grateful for the generous offers of assistance and advice received from the Governments of Canada, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Republic of Korea, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United Nations”, a spokesperson of the American authorities declared.
He said that assistance offers included experts in different aspects of oil leak, technical and research expertise, chemical substances and treatments for animals and wild vegetation in the area.
The Deepwater Horizon platform, owned by BP British company exploded and burned. Ecologists argue that the incident is the biggest leak in history.
