EU to refund 16 million euro to Romania

The European Union will refund 16 million euro to Romania, out of the contribution paid for the EU budget in 2007. The sum is one of the lowest. among the countries that will receive refunds. The 27 states will receive a total of 1.53 billion euro, since the spending last year was within the foreseen budget and the advance payments were already made for more than necessary. The most important sums will be refunded to Germany – 300 million euro, United Kingdom – 258 million euro and France – 234 million Euro.
