Google launched on Monday in Romania the Map Navigation service, a free application that works on all cells with a GPS chip and Android operating system. The new service will be available on all cells that have versions from 1.6 to 2.3 and will use the internet connection of smartphones to download the latest maps.

The application is free and underlines the value of the internet connection of the cell for a simple guide with access to the recent version of maps that will work on every terminal with Android and GPS, Google’s head of office in Romania Dan Bulucea said for news agency Mediafax.
