Italian news agency: Radovan Karadzic's false ID was issued in Romania. Radio B92 says it was issued in Ruma, Voivodina
The fake ID of the former Bosnian leader Radovan Karadzic was apparently issued in Romania, Italian news agency Adnkronos reads on its website. The agency reads that the Karadzic might have used the identity of a dead person. According to the fake ID, his name was Dragan David Dabic, alternative medicine expert. The doctor even had an internet page to present his products.
But on Thursday, Serbian station Radio B92 announced the fake ID was issued in Ruma in the region of Voivodina, not in Romania.
Former Bosnian leader, Radovan Karadzic, accused of genocide and war crimes committed during the Bosnian war in 1992-1995 was arrested by Serbian secret police forces on Monday night.
