Vladimir Voronin changes attitude: Moldova needs to forget differences with Romania

Moldova must forget all its differences with Romania, Republic of Moldova President Vladimir Voronin declared for local NIT television, quoted by Romanian monitoring agency Rador. He added that his declarations can be interpreted as a signal for Bucharest, that diplomatic relations should be improved.

Voronin added that Moldova was ready to have normal, mutual relations with its EU neighbor.

These conciliatory statements are a first made by Voronin in several years as relations between Moldova and Romania have been deteriorating.
