HotNews.ro

The spokesman for Bucharest Police, Christian Ciocan, has said any person filming a policeman risks being retained unless the gestures of the filming individual are predictable. The statement comes after Romanian news channel Realitatea TV broadcast a video in which a Bucharest citizen films to police cars stationed in the street, lights off, in the dark of the night.

The young man filming the cars asks the policemen why they were stationing in the middle of the street and is then accused of being drunk.

Speaking on the incident, Police spokesman Christian Ciocan told Realitatea TV that the police can only be controlled by their superior officers and that unless one’s gestures are predictable when going to a police officer with a cellphone in hand one risked being cuffed.

According to Realitatea TV, the youth received a fine for crossing the street illegally.
