Romanian president called meeting with Country's Supreme Defence Council
Romanian President Traian Basescu called a meeting with the Country’s Supreme Defence Council (CSAT) on Monday, March 22, at the Cotroceni Palace, the Presidential Administration informs.
The meeting’s agenda features:
- The inter-governmental regime of encouraging competition on the defence equipment European market, based on the Conduct Code regarding defence acquisitions, under the European Defence Agency;
- The scheme for the continuation of the programme for restructuring and modernising the Romanian Army in 2010;
- The operational level of the National Defence Ministry equipment supply and the balance of the ammunition in the Romanian Army’s stocks;
- The notes and conclusions resulted from the activity of protecting classified information;
- The State’s Supreme Defence Council’s report on the 2009 activity.
