Anca Dumitru becomes new Stock Exchange general manager

Stere Farmache was replaced on Friday from his position as general manager of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) by Anca Dumitru, after the National Securities Commission approved her nomination on Thursday. Farmache announced a month ago his intention to resign, due to an offer from a private company. Anca Dumitru comes from the general manager office of the Electronic Stock Exchange, RASDAQ. After the merger between BVB and RASDAQ, she was manager in BVB. Since 2002, she is also general manager of the Brokers’ Association.
