EU leaders meet for the Fall European Council session in Brussels
European Union leaders meet in Brussels at the fall European Council session to talk mainly about the financial crisis. Measures considered to counter the instability of the financial systems, the protection of vulnerable social categories, of energy security – are just some of the subjects on the agenda. Romania will be represented by President Traian Basescu and PM Calin Popescu Tariceanu.
Another subject is the energy sector: leaders will debate over the legislative package on Energy and clime change. Another important point on the agenda is the Republic of Moldova, in an attempt to strengthen its relations with the European Union.
