Renault and Ford requested 500 million euro as aid from the Romanian state
Ford and Renault requested 400 million euro and 100 million euro as state guarantees for their European Investment Bank financing, Romanian newspaper Cotidianul informs, quoting Mediafax. Plus, Renault also plans to assure that the future investment in the technological center will be possible.
Romania’s President Traian Basescu met this weekend Renault’s president for the European and Mediterranean region, Christian Esteve to talk about the new future investments of the company and the situation of sub-suppliers in Romania.
Basescu insisted that the Romanian car market should be sustained by the state, a press release of the institution reads. In other words, the President assured Renault that they will also benefit from Romania’s 30 billion euro funds from the European Investment Bank.
