As competition grew rapidly, both development plans and consumer behavior change determined companies to look for new methods and channels to sell their merchandise. More and more providers seek to go online as costs are cheaper and advertising options increase considerably.
In the last quarter of the year, sales reached 9.9 million euro and an important contribution to this sum were the tourism offers for the end-of-year holidays. The total value of the transactions amounted to 6.2 million euro just in the last months of the year.
For 2008, experts estimate a total value of 70 million euro for some 780,000 transactions.
