50 injured in Minsk after a bomb exploded near Balarus leader Lukashenko
Some 50 people were injured in Minsk on Friday when a bomb exploded at a concert organized for Independence Day at which President Alexander Lukashenko was present, Reuters informs. Lukashenko, criticized in Western countries for his dictatorial rule over Belarus since 1994 was interested to evaluate all damages.
The explosion was not an attempt to kill the Belarus President, Presidency’s spokesperson declared. The explosion was most probably provoked by hooligans, one of the officials declared. The explosion took place shortly after midnight.
