Bulgaria, Romania still poorest EU states

Bulgaria and Romania, countries that joined the European Union in 2007, are the poorest states in the Union, a top put up by the European Statistics Bureau reveals, as quoted by Reuters. Bulgaria has the lowed share of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita – 38 units, surpassed by Romania (41 units) and EU wannabe Turkey (42).

Luxembourg is by far the richest state in the Union, with three times the EU average (276 units), followed at a distance by Ireland (146). In the top of the richest countries, the third is Holland (131 units), followed by Austria (128), Germany (113), France (111), Spain (107) and Italy (101).
