Bundestag European Affairs Committee: the nominalization of Ciolos for Agriculture reveals the influence President Basescu has at Brussels

Bundestag European Affairs Committee President, Gunter Krichbaum congratulated Dacian Ciolos for his appointment as Commissioner for Agriculture and said that this is both the success of Ciolos and that of President Basescu.

This success reveals the influence Romania’s President enjoys at Brussels, the letter reads. Romania received a very important portfolio in the future European Commission. The reaction comes after EC President Barroso announced the new list of Commissioners. Romanian Ciolos was designated Commissioner for Agriculture.
