Minister Paul Pacuraru says presidential decision to suspend him was unfair and political
Romanian Labor minister Paul Pacuraru, the suspension of whom was decided by President Basescu on Monday, said on Tuesday that he was pleased with what he did in office and accused the decision to suspend him as „political and unfair”.
Pacuraru, representing the Liberal Party led by PM Tariceanu, who is at major political odds with President Basescu, was suspended under Constitutional terms given that he was subjected to a graft investigation.
He said today he hoped to return to office soon and said he was pleased with the policies his Ministry pursued in the fields of migration and pensions boost.
Current Health minister Eugen Nicolaescu was named interim Labor minister as well today, according to Romanian news channel Realitatea TV.
