Renault Romania to test electric cars starting end of 2010

HotNews.ro

Renault will start some limited tests with electrical cars starting the end of 2010, Renault’s commercial director in Romania, Fabrice Cambolive declared, quoted by 0-100.ro. The company is currently negotiating with authorities in several big cities to conduct the first tests but this is still the first step and years will pass until we will see plenty of electric cars on the streets.

Chauvet, Renault Euromed region director declared for HotNews.ro last year that Renault was negotiating with a big city in Romania to test 100 electric models. However, he could not say when tests will start or which model.

Cambolive declared that Renault made no progress since but that the company is waiting to have the model to present it. The policy to bring electric cars to authorities first and then to final customers is popular among big car companies which produce or plan to produce electric cars.
