Tariceanu puts all alliance calls on hold
Liberal Prime Minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu was called during the afternoon by leaders from both the former allied party, Democrat Liberals, and the main Opposition party, Social Democrats. Tariceanu refused to offer a clear answer about the structure of the future government, but sources from both PD-L and PSD say the main condition to start negotiating was to maintain Tariceanu as Prime Minister.
Given the structure of the vote, Liberals can form a majority Government with both opponents, and has the final word, despite having the lowest score of the three.
