239 mln euro incomes for Orange Romania in Q1 2006

Orange Romania reported incomes of 239 million euro in the first three months of 2006, up 23.3% compared to the same period last year. The boost comes due to a 34% increase of its client numbers, up to 7.1 million people, according to a company press release.

France Telecom, the participation of which in Orange Romania reached 96.63% in April last year, reported total incomes of 12.8 billion euro in the first quarter of 2006 as its client base reached 147 million.

By the end of 2005, Orange Romania recorded a business figure of 870 million euro with a client base of 6.8 million clients, the highest increase of income and client base among Romanian operators.
