Danube to reach maximum level at Galati, Eastern Romania on July 10

Danube is expected to reach a maximum level in Galati, Eastern Romania on July 10 when it would exceed the historical level reported in 2006 by 24 cm, according to Romanian Waters National Administration.

The body says in a press release on Tuesday that over the past 24 hours the Danube level rose by 1 cm in Galati, exceeding the danger threshold by 28 cm; by 10 cm in Fetesti – 42 cm above the danger threshold; and by 4 cm in Braila, exceeding the danger threshold by 53 cm.

A dam being built within Galati city was ready 80% by Tuesday morning and expected to be finished during the day.

The flow Danube on entry in Romania was decreasing on Tuesday morning.
