Democratic Liberal deputy resigns from party
Democratic Liberal (PDL) MP Clement Negrut announced in a press conference on Friday that he resigned from the party two weeks after he announced his resignation from political positions he held in the Alba county, Romanian news agency Agerpres reports.
He said he submitted a honorary resignation from PDL because „honor” was claimed from him.
A Social Democratic (PSD, opposition) leader from Alba county said in a press conference that PSD doors were opened for Clement Negrut.
Clement Negrut voted in favor of a censure motion submitted by the Social Democrats against the PDL-led government last year. The deputy then said he thus complied with his own opinions and with those of people who elected him in the Parliament.
