IDC study: IT labor force in Romania to increase by over 50% up to 2013

This year most IT components on the Romanian market will register a negative evolution but starting 2010 they will register growth until 2013 on several segments, an IDC study reveals, ordered by Microsoft. The study reveals that the number of employees will increase by 50% up to 2013.

IT spending will decrease this year but it will start growing until 2013, the study reveals. The research reveals that in 2008 there were 45,619 employees in the IT sector and this year it decreased at 44,358. By 2013, the number of employees will increase to 65.200.

The number of IT companies will decrease by 20% from 6.7 billion lei to 5.4 billion lei.
