Finance ministries in nine European states, including Romania sent an official address to the European Comission and to the EU President, Herman van Rompuy, urging to modify the way the calculus used to compute the country debt, Wirtschaftsblatt reads. Other countries that signed the letter were Sweden, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania. Contacted by HotNews.ro, Romanian officials confirmed that they sent the letter and will come back with an official comment regarding it.
Recalculations proposed are related to allocations offered to the private pensin systems, Wirtschaftblatt declared and the initiative belonged to Hungary and Poland, the most affected by the current calculation.
