Romanian Intelligence Service Alba Iulia chief retained by prosecutors for helping a criminal network
Ioan Tarnu, the Romanian Intelligence Service Alba Iulia chief and Liviu Schiau, sub commissioner at the organized crime brigade were retained on Monday by anti graft prosecutors for supporting a criminal network that was dealing with the theft of machines in EU states, the institution informs.
The estimated value of the prejudice is around 4,500,000 euro. According to anti graft prosecutors the group was supported by Ioan Tarnu and Liviu Schiau. Tarnu Ioan accepted several gifts for his wife, Stanciu Mircea who assured the latter of his support. The two were retained for 24 hours.
