Draft law on the massive lay offs at the Interior Ministry rejected by the Chamber of Deputies / PM Boc was called at the Presidency
The law ruling lay offs in the Interior Ministry did not meet on Tuesday enough votes to be adopted by the Chamber of Deputies, news agency Agerpres informs. The draft law sees the lay off of about 8,500 employees of the Interior ministry. The Chamber of Deputies has the final say in this case.
UPDATE PM Boc was called at the Presidency, Parliamentary sources declared for HotNews.ro. The law received only 150 votes of the 167 it needed to pass. There were 132 votes against and 8 abstains. The draft law is considered rejected.
