Head of media regulating body dies aged 47

Ralu Filip, president of the National Audio – Video Council (CNA) died of a heart attack on Tuesday night, at the young age of 47, sources in the institution declared for Hotnews.ro.
Filip was hospitalized on Tuesday evening in a Bucharest hospital, accusing severe stomach aches. Doctors found shortly that, in fact, he had suffered an infarct. The death was recorded at 00:50h on Wednesday.
The former head of CNA will be buried with military honors on Friday, at the Ghencea cemetery.
Born in 1959, Ralu Filip was a lawyer until 1991, when he left the practice to become a journalist. Since 2002, he was named member, then head of CNA. He also coordinated PHARE activities and was a founding member of the „NATO house” in Romania.
