Romanian Justice Minister Predoiu: the appreciations of the Dutch Ambassador to the EU are regrettable, ungrounded and prejudice the image of a EU state
Romania’s Justice Minister Catalin Predoiu rejects the appreciations made last week by the Dutch Ambassador to the EU, who declared that Netherlands does not believe that Romania’s rule of law is working because there are great problems related to the justice system in Romania. They are regrettable, ungrounded that prejudice the image of a EU member state, Predoiu said. I definitely reject the appreciations that cannot be sustained by the reality, Predoiu said.
The minister reminds that Romania is open to receive officials and diplomats from the Netherlands to inform at the source on the state of reforms in Romania. He said that Romania is ready to go in the Dutch Parliament to expose our arguments that show that Romania is ready to join Schengen.
